Our personal development, the motivation of our entire team, our location on the island (with its supply and logistic constraints), the exceptional natural environment of Belle-Ile, and the increasing level of encouragement of our guests; we have been committed to " Durable Tourism" for several years. 
We applied for the label "Green Key" at the start of 2010 and obtained it in November 2010.
This label is a good reward for our efforts and a great encouragement for the future. 
The criteria taken into account are as follows: 
- environmental approach: action plans, awareness of the team and our partners
- energy management: purchase of « green » electricity, energy saving light bulbs, efficient heating, low energy appliances, assessment of energy consumption
- waste management: selective sorting, reduction of waste at source, limitation of individual packaging
- water management: economic equipment and use
- responsible purchases: cleaning products respectful of the environment, priority to local, fresh, seasonal products, 
- environmental education: awareness of our partners and guests to our approach and to the exceptional environment of Belle-Ile

An example agenda : - Arrival at the end of the morning - Lunch – Work session with pause gourmande (tea break !)- Excursion to the Cote Sauvage and aperitif at the Pointe des Poulains - Dinner (Menu du Marché) – 2nd day, work sessions with pauses gourmandes, picnic on Donnant beach and at the end of the afternoon, cycle ride (solo or as group following tourist route) - Gala Dinner- Departure after breakfast/brunch, a morning of work, break and lunch.

We have just been selected to feature in the guide "Alastair Sawday's Special Places to Stay", very reputable in England. We are particularly proud of this, not only because it shows an additional recognition of the quality of our establishment, but also and above all because we are delighted by their definition of a "Special Place to Stay": " Our guides are based on our passion of the authentic, the unique... we don’t award stars, we don’t include an establishment because it offers all the facilities of the moment". An establishment run by a generous hearted family is preferred to a contemporary hotel hyper-trendy with all the five star frills ... and a cantankerous staff. We like the owners to know what they are doing and above all to like what they do and who are generous with the small things. We like people who are flexible to the needs of their guests. We know that a genuine polite encounter and a reassuring welcome will remain longer in the memory than all the benefits of winning gold or silver.
